Rowan Metzner’s passion for photography inspired the New Orleans native to pack up her camera and embark on a cross-country tour shooting pictures for Signal Path. Her travels eventually landed her in the Northeast, where she earned her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design. Soon the Big Easy beckoned Rowan back home, and there she served as the photo editor for Before During After, a book chronicling Hurricane Katrina’s impact on the work of local photographers. Later she seized an opportunity to relocate to Chicago and work for Playboy as a photo retoucher and freelance photographer. Currently based in Pittsburgh, PA Rowan continues to travel and shoot regularly in anticipation of her next great adventure.
